LAWI
BIGGER DREAMS. SAME FIRE
Born in Mexico to a Mexican mother and a Cuban father, LAWI grew up surrounded by two cultures and a deep musical heritage. Music runs through her Cuban roots: her father is a professional singer and musician whose career in salsa introduced her to the world of music and performance from an early age.
LAWI’s artistic journey extends far beyond music. She studied ballet, appeared as a television host for a children’s program in Cozumel, Quintana Roo, and participated in singing festivals while developing her identity as a performer. Her work in fashion and modeling also became part of that journey, including being named Mystic Model Mexico 2015 and participating in professional modeling and photography productions.
Today, LAWI brings those influences together as a bilingual singer, songwriter, and performer, fluent in both English and Spanish. She writes and performs her own music, bringing together her Mexican upbringing, Cuban musical roots, and years of experience in the arts to create a sound and artistic identity that are distinctly her own.
Two cultures. One voice. Bigger dreams. Same fire
